MODULE 07 — TAKING OWNERSHIP

01 / 03

OWNERSHIP

The customer called you. They didn't call the system, the policy, or the team.

Taking ownership means accepting full responsibility for the customer's experience on your call — not deflecting, not blaming processes, not handing off problems. You are the face of the company in that moment.

No ownership

  • ·"The system is slow today."
  • ·"That's a different department."
  • ·"I'm not sure who handles that."
  • ·"You'll need to call back."

Full ownership

  • ·"I'll find out for you right now."
  • ·"I'm going to personally make sure this is sorted."
  • ·"I'll follow up to confirm it's been done."
